Response From TACTICAL WALLS: Unfortunately, there is no way to convert from one lock type to the other.

Response From TACTICAL WALLS: Thanks for the question. This product is made of wood and plastic and has no fire protection, no water protection, and no insulation. For these reasons, we require that this only be used on interior walls.

Response From TACTICAL WALLS: Hi and thanks for the question. We solely recommend using our concealment mirrors and wall inserts on interior walls. It is sized to perfectly fit between two standard 2" x 4" stud framed interior wall.

Response From TACTICAL WALLS: Thanks for the question! I just measured a 1450 in our show room and obtained the following info. From the leading edge of the frame side when closed to the same edge when the unit is open as far as possible is 18 1/4".
1/6/2018 – How much weight can the wall insert take for the additional purpose of storing ammo? Or can it just be further supported from the bottom?
Response From TACTICAL WALLS: Thanks for the question. The inserts are screwed into the sides of studs and the material is incredibly strong. They can handle the weight of just about anything you can fit in it, including your boxes of ammo.
